• Vehicle Route Analysis – derived from extraction of anonymised vehicle usage data from back-end systems to show the aggregate traffic flows and how these very by time of day, or following the introduction of a new road, interchange or charging scheme.
• Pay-as-you-go Insurance – using driving data to offer a more usage and risk reflective means by which vehicles can be insured. Early market deployments are currently being rolled out by a handful of insurance companies.
• Accident Investigation – analysis of post accident forensics data obtained from the on-board equipment sensors to discover more about the cause of an accident and determine the party at fault in the resolution of insurance claims and litigation.
• Automated Tachometer Data Collection and the Identification of Tachometer Fraud – using the on-board equipment as a secure communications gateway service for the back-haul of digital tachometer and vehicle usage data, enabling automated identification of out-of-hours driving and fraud.
• Emergency Telephone Service for Europe – integration of emergency voice services into on-board equipment to provide “E-Call” services without the requirement for an additional telephony device.
