Major infrastructure projects usually require advanced fixed wire and/or wireless networks to provide for reliable and secure transmission of charging and evidential data.

Our experience of mobile communications comes from our development of the Axiom road user charging development system, in addition to extensive use of mobile applications including real time messaging and value added services.

Video presents a specific challenge as it is bandwidth intensive, exhibits large data packets and a high sensitivity to transmission latency and jitter. We have designed, modelled and planned very large networks in collaboration with some of the major equipment vendors such as Cisco Systems for systems up to 10,000 cameras, in addition to network recording, storage and retrieval.

We have extensive experience of roadside communications, both proprietary and standard, including experience of correct roadside working procedures to ensure health and safety requirements are met. Our clients and partners include some of the major civil engineering and construction companies, equipment vendors and specialised street-furniture fabricators.
